Terms of Service

1. Who we are

DANEG is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated by DANEG FZ-LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates (trade licence PLACEHOLDER — trade licence number), with its registered office at PLACEHOLDER — registered office address.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "DANEG" mean DANEG FZ-LLC. "You" means the person using the service.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, browsing listings, buying, or selling on DANEG, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use DANEG.

• You must register with accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password and device secure.
• One person may not operate multiple accounts to evade suspension or manipulate the marketplace.

4. What DANEG is — and is not

DANEG provides the platform on which buyers and sellers deal with each other. The contract of sale for any item is between the buyer and the seller directly.

We are not the seller of items listed by users, we do not take ownership of them, and we do not warrant their authenticity, condition, legality, or fitness for any purpose, except where we expressly say otherwise for a specific service (such as an authentication service you have paid for).

5. Selling on DANEG

When you list an item you confirm that you own it, that you are entitled to sell it, and that your description and photographs are accurate and your own.

• Counterfeit, replica, stolen, or otherwise unlawful items are strictly prohibited.
• Items must be described honestly, including all flaws, repairs, and signs of wear.
• Prohibited items include anything restricted under UAE law, hazardous goods, and any item you cannot lawfully sell.
• Listings are reviewed before they appear publicly. We may decline, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion.
• Once an item sells, you must dispatch it within the timeframe shown in the order, using a trackable method.

6. Buying on DANEG

Placing an order is a binding offer to buy the item at the listed price. The sale is complete when the seller confirms and payment is captured.

Inspect items on arrival and raise any issue through the app promptly so it falls within the protection window described in the Returns & Refunds Policy.

7. Payments and escrow

DANEG holds the buyer's payment in escrow until the order is confirmed as delivered. Funds are released to the seller after the buyer confirms receipt, or automatically after the confirmation window closes with no dispute raised.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number. Prices are shown in UAE Dirhams (AED) and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.

We charge sellers a commission on each completed sale. The current rate is shown before you confirm a listing and in your seller payout summary.

8. Fees and taxes

You are responsible for any taxes arising from your own activity on the platform, including where selling is part of a business you operate.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize, and promote that content for the purpose of operating and marketing the service.

You must not upload content you do not have the rights to, or content that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes anyone's rights.

10. Acceptable use

• Do not harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate anyone.
• Do not take transactions off-platform to avoid fees or buyer protection.
• Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Do not manipulate reviews, ratings, or search placement.

11. Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may remove listings, restrict features, withhold payouts pending investigation, or suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe presents a risk to other users.

You may close your account at any time from Settings. Closing an account does not cancel obligations under orders already in progress.

12. Disputes between users

Buyers and sellers should first try to resolve issues directly through in-app chat. If that fails, either party may open a dispute and we will review the evidence and decide how the escrowed funds are handled. Our decision on the release of escrowed funds is final as between us and you, and does not prevent you pursuing your own legal remedies against the other party.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of other users, and our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or AED 500.

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
